Define the Performance Focus, Culture Core and Current Culture
Step 1: Identify Critical Performance Priorities
- Identify the critical performance priorities
- Identify 1-3 critical performance priorities – growth, profitability, cost, productivity, turnover / retention, etc.
- Typically accomplished through executive alignment session
Step 2: Clarify the Status of the “Culture Core”
- Identify improvement vision, values, key strategic priorities and measures
- Identify 1-3 perceived cultural strengths and their related behaviors
- Identify 1-3 perceived cultural weaknesses and related behaviors to shift / improve
Step 3: Evaluate the Current Culture
- Launch the GAPM™ or leverage other employee feedback / data
- Identify strengths and weaknesses based on the voice of the people
